Job Description:
Embark on a maintenance adventure with Seed to Table, Food & Thought, and Food & Thought 2! As a dynamic Handyman, you are the cornerstone of our commitment to excellence. Independently wield your skills in plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and general repairs to positively impact the experiences of our customers, guests, and associates. Your expertise is not just a driving force but a beacon of creativity, innovation, and execution. Your essential role prioritizes public and employee safety, ensuring the upkeep of our store’s vibrant atmosphere.

Essential Qualifications:

The following qualifications are crucial for success in this role:

• Demonstrated expertise in addressing plumbing issues, ensuring efficient and effective solutions.
• Adept at handling routine maintenance tasks to ensure the overall functionality and appearance of the store.
• Proficient in drywall repairs and installations, contributing to a polished and well-maintained environment.
• Competent in foundational lighting installations and electrical work.
• Capable of providing comprehensive carpentry solutions for bars, restaurants, and grocery stores.
• Dedicated to promoting a safe work environment for customers, guests, and associates.
• Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
• Proficient in English, with additional proficiency in Spanish considered a valuable asset.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Non-slip shoes are mandatory for a safe working environment (please note that company does not provide).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation is a must.

Handyman Proficiency Standards:

• Lift up to 75 pounds, both below the waist and overhead, demonstrating strength and versatility.
• Climb ladders, navigate various paces, and use step stools for versatile tasks.
• Possess good hand-eye coordination for intricate repairs and precise tool handling.
• Adapt to diverse tasks, showcasing flexibility in handling various maintenance jobs.
• Ensure good vision and essential hearing for effective communication and hazard awareness.
• Maintain overall health and prioritize regular check-ups to ensure injury free task execution.
• Follow safety protocols and take preventative measures to ensure a secure work environment.
• Effectively convey maintenance information to team members, managers, and customers.
• Work in diverse indoor and outdoor weather conditions safely.
• Maintain respiratory health by considering allergies and taking necessary precautions during tasks.
