POSITION – Quality Inspector - lead
JOB LOCATION – Grafton, WI
STARTING DATE – Immediate
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Regular, Temp-to-Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 3rd shift
STARTING PAY – $19-$22 per hour

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School Diploma/GED
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Prior experience performing package testing
This position is responsible for inspection and testing of product and packaging
Responsibilities
Performs final review of completed records ensuring no process excursions.
Completes verification check list for all process steps and testing/inspection results.
Verifies and approves production start-up on shop orders. This includes reviewing work instructions, confirming line clearance, first piece inspection of product, labeling and packaging.
Verifies line clearance before start of production orders.
Reviews shop floor production records and inspection sheets.
Reviews cleaning log for clean room
Performs time based sampling of product and packaging. Tests primary packaging per established testing methods ensuring the accuracy of the measurements.
When a product or material fails, properly documents the material, segregates to ensure prevention from further use, document nonconformance, and communicate status with the operators and area leads. Ensures product, packaging and processes are meeting quality standards prior to the resumption of production.
Monitors compliance to established procedures and reports findings to site leader and supervisor.
Performs process audits with line lead.
Promotes a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Cross-trains on as a site back up on other duties.
Assist in training new employees.
At start of each shift reviews with line lead ad that all persons assigned to the line are fully trained for their assigned duties and any back up duties.
Qualifications
High School diploma or its equivalent.
Prior experience performing sterile package testing
Experience working in a GMP laboratory or manufacturing site desired
Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Ability to execute testing methods per established testing methods.
Ability to use basic measuring devices; complete paperwork; take directions and work in a team.
Ability to read and follow testing methods and standard operating procedures
Ability to operate automated testing equipment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
