Summary: Under the general direction of the Controller and with a high degree of independence will provide a variety of support in the accounting department. Duties included: billing, filing, mailing, additional duties may include processing payroll and other tasks as assigned by the Controller.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Processes monthly billing invoices and reconciles discrepancies.
- Processes Account Receivable.
- Responsible to ensure payments are filed and submitted or mailed out on time.
- Responsible for following up with funding source.
- Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures.
- Cross-trained in all areas of accounting to assist team members when necessary.
- Work with other departments to resolve billing and payroll issues, as they occur.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and / or Experience: High School graduated or AA degree and related business field preferred. Minimum of one (1) year experiences in various aspects of Billing Processing.
Knowledge: An individual must have knowledge of: Insurance billing and the basic principles of Accounting preferred.
Qualifications and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have ability to frequently move about and bend down; ability to lift a minimum of twenty (20) pounds; write legibly; a California Driver’s License, Proof of vehicle insurance, and reliable vehicle; an e-mail address and access to the internet; clearance to work by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Department of Investigations (FBI) via Live scan fingerprinting; medical clearance of active Tuberculosis (TB) and also;
- Communicating with Supervisors and co-workers, also displaying a good-nature cooperative attitude.
- Keeping up-to-date technologically and applying new knowledge to the assigned job.
- Analyzing information and evaluation results to choose the best solution to perform the assigned job and solve the problems.
- Communication skills to contact with Insurance Companies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality.
- Finish tasks in timely manner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
