As a critical supplier to the United States Navy, we develop and manufacture specialized products in support of the submarine fleet programs as well as new construction and fleet maintenance.
The work will include interfacing with engineers, production technicians and other team members toward accomplishing project objectives.
Typical duties of a Specialist II include process development, product development, tooling development, and manufacturing support. The primary CAD tool is SolidWorks for both modeling and drawing development; experience with this software tool is certainly a plus.

Job Requirements:
  • Must have minimum of 7 years of experience with one or more of the below:
    • composite materials
    • fabrication of composite structures
    • polymer injection molding/mixing
    • other technical manufacturing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Perform assigned activities as needed
  • Author manufacturing work instructions, inspection procedures, monthly reports, etc. with oversight from supervisor
  • Manage and track documentation including incorporation of redlines
  • Handle several program duties simultaneously across disciplines
  • Provide input as needed on proposals, schedules, budgets and other programmatic deliverables
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Experience operating in multi-functional teams consisting of: Engineering, Program Management, and Technicians
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance
  • Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) is required.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Good Oral and written communication skills
  • SolidWorks 3D modeling and 2D drawings
  • Technical writing
  • Hands on fabrication experience
  • Tooling design
  • Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 quality management systems
  • Creation of work instructions or technical writing
  • Design Parts and Fixtures with input from supervisor
  • Bachelor, Associates, or technical degree is a plus

Essential Physical Requirement:
  • Ability to bend, stoop or climb as necessary to perform required inspections.
  • Ability to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, stand and walk for 10 hours, work at heights, work in hot or cold environments, work in confined spaces and lift loads of approximately 50 pounds; Be able to lift, push, pull, perform repetitive movements, or occasionally carry heavy objects.
  • Stand; bend, kneel, walk, stoop, crouch, and sit.
  • Use hands and finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Repeat the same movements.
  • Bend and twist body.
  • Ability to wear all assigned personal protective equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, full face respirator, gloves, protective clothing, etc.
  • Vision abilities required are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception ability to adjust focus.
