Infant Teacher (8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.)

We are looking for a qualified Infant Teacher to provide a safe and loving environment for the infants to develop and reach age appropriate milestones. You will demonstrate good judgement in the care and play with each infant assigned to you. You will maintain the feeding schedule with the bottles and solids provided by parents. You will teach using the Frog Street Curriculum and be responsible for caring for infants ages 6 months to 12 months. The infant teacher must have a great love and patience for children. He/she will work with a Lead Teacher to ensure each child's needs are met.

The ideal candidate will be a caring individual who enjoys teaching young children with the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. The preferred applicant is one who currently has a GED or H.S. Diplomas AND also has a CDA or willing to obtain a CDA credential.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and loving environment for the infants in his/her care.
• Give bottles to infants as provided by parents
• Feed infants' solid foods as age appropriate and provided by parents.
• Change diapers as needed
• Soothe infants by singing to and cuddling them.
• Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
• Track children’s progress and report to parents
• Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche
• Collaborate with other educators
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Skills

• Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher
• Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
• Certification in child CPR

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
