The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is growing rapidly and is seeking new members on our Solutions team. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will serve as a dedicated resource to the alternative investment fund services department to assist with internal and external client solutions/product based support.
You play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business goals and technical solutions within a data platform context. You are responsible for ensuring that the data platform product suctioning aligns with business needs, efficiently integrates with clients, and delivers high-quality solutions to improve data-driven decision-making and operations. Effective communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and project management skills are crucial in this role.
What you will do:
- Be an integral member of the SEI Data Cloud team and lead the design and support of the implementation of Data Marts which represent the presentation layer of SEI's Data Cloud.
- Apply your experience and expertise with financial accounting and reference data to be an active participant in the design and evolution of SEI's cloud data services.
- Comprehend and document business goals and strategies through collaboration with client implementation, product, and solutions teams. Articulate the requirements to be fulfilled by the data organization.
- Assist in the design and the governance of a metadata model that provides business teams with the necessary subject area data catalog.
- Develop data mapping documentation for data consumption and extraction reporting requirements. Ensure data flows and transformations are well-documented and understood.
What we need from you:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Business or applicable experience.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in data analysis, including data modeling and data mapping and reporting especially in the domain of financial accounting data (e.g. ABOR, IBOR, reference)
- Experience with Product and Development disciplines
- Prior experience with cloud data warehouses, cloud data migration or cloud data marts
- Financial Services experience, preferably FinTech experience in Asset Management, Wealth Management or Accounting.
- Experience with Agile and Iterative development methodologies.
- Experience with software development management/tracking tools (i.e. JIRA, Microsoft TFS, Rally, etc.).

- Project management experience, and the self-motivation, organization and drive to manage and complete multiple projects in a timely manner without sacrificing quality. Custom software development experience a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to clearly articulate performance problems and solutions related to complex financial instruments and transactions.
- Demonstrated significant leadership experience as a team lead or similar role.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. As the needs of our clients change, we need to be flexible to change with them.
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and to thrive in a project-based environment within a lean team.
- Capacity to work within complex systems and large data sets.
