What are the responsibilities and job description for the Release Manager position at SEI1GLOBAL?
SEI has a challenging career opportunity for a Release Manager. This position requires an experienced, adaptable individual who possesses a combination of business, management and technical leadership skills. The Release Manager is responsible for detailed planning, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and execution of technology releases across several SEI applications.
What you will do:
- Lead, support, and oversee the IMS Release Management and Change Management processes
- Ability to work in an Agile environment
- Create and maintain annual IMS Release Calendar
- Run weekly IMS Change Management meetings to ensure careful orchestration of production events
- Effectively plan and manage multiple release deployments in multiple UAT and Production environments
- Ensure that all pre and post release activities are coordinated and executed according to plan
- Provide regular Release Management reporting consistent with ITIL Release Management Best Practices
- Identify resolutions for release issues and the mitigation of identified risks; ability to communicate to both client and SEI key stakeholders including development managers, developers, and QA team members
- Monitor and report out of overall release status and cross-team dependencies; take corrective actions as needed
- Work with stakeholders to manage and execute testing, including coordination with the QA Team
- Drive continuous improvements within the Release Management team and coordinate w/stakeholders to improve overall Release upgrade and delivery processes
- Encourage team level quality practice
- Ability to leverage background and experience to develop new and/or revise existing solutions and approaches
What we need from you:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science or applicable experience.
- Experience in design, development, test, and implementation of technology enhancements and releases for applications and systems
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in development and implementation of software applications.
