Location: Headquartered in Downtown Seattle, remote work possible from AZ, CA, CO, FL, OR, TN, VA, WA
Work Schedule: Our typical business hours are 8:30-5:00 Monday-Friday.
Travel Requirements: Up to 10%

About the Position: *
Reporting to the Manager of Quantitative Research and part of the Research Insights and Innovations (RII) Department, the Data Analyst will use their data skills to provide datasets, metrics, visualizations, and summaries for key reports, presentations, and publications. They will work with key stakeholders to improve and standardize our data systems and processes across the organization. They will join the Quantitative Research team to work on research projects to support caregivers’ training, healthcare, and retirement benefits, as well as career development opportunities through quantitative and statistical analysis. You Will: *
- Work with a wide variety of worker, training and health datasets;
- Regularly use SQL and either Python or R, to query and analyze data;
- Generate and clean distribution lists for pilots, programs and quantitative and qualitative research projects;
- Create metrics, graphs and tables for reports, presentations and publications such as organization infographics, board meeting materials, annual caregiver survey reports and quarterly satisfaction measures;
- Support quantitative and qualitative research projects with various tasks (e.g. compare rates across two populations, conduct power analyses to determine target sample, conduct a systematic review, insight to statistical analysis etc.);
- Partner with other analysts across the organization to develop standard data names, definitions and best practices as we enhance and restructure our data environment;
- Communicate limitations and make recommendations informed by thorough and thoughtful review of data;
- Support the development of survey forms, including programming, testing, distributing surveys/forms, as well as some data entry and data cleaning work;
- Carefully document all data sets and analyses;
- Prepare presentations and written materials that communicate complex analyses and findings in a simple, concise and interpretable manner;
- Identify information gaps and problem solve how to address them;
- Lead with antiracism and cultural humility;
- Additional duties as assigned by your manager.
You Will Need to Have:
- 1 years of experience working with large-scale data sets and RDBMS systems;
- 1 years of experience conducting statistical data analysis in R or Python;
- 1 years of experience with data visualization in R, Python or Tableau;
- A Bachelor’s Degree or beyond in math, statistics, physics, science, public health or related analytical field, equivalent experience is accepted in lieu of a degree;
- A genuine passion for data science and drive to communicate using data;
- Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills and expertise;
- Demonstrated ability to pull apart complex data and communicate it to a non-technical audience;
- Demonstrated ability to create meaningful and actionable visualizations, reports and summaries;
- Excellent skills in communication, organization and time-management;
- Ability to work equally well independently and as part of a team;
- Willingness to ask questions and seek understanding; willing to challenge assumptions, including your own;
- An interest in and ability to understand the home care sector and their health, training and retirement needs and experiences;
- Familiarity with Qualtrics survey programming software or an interest in learning;
- Familiarity with or interest in learning qualitative and quantitative research skills;
- Familiarity with or ability to learn Salesforce.
It Will Be Great if You Have:
- Professional experience with caregiving, healthcare, labor unions, non-profit, government and/or social services;
- Exposure or experience in data governance, data engineering and/or data warehousing constructs;
- Experience initiating or leading one or more diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
