What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategy Associate - Power position at Selby Jennings?
We are partnered with a renewable energy investment company focused on power, based in New York City. They are looking for a Strategy Associate to sit on their team with a focus on the commodity markets. This person will report directly to the head of trading and have frequent communication with the CEO. This person will need to be very high level and think analytically.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deep analysis of commodity markets
- Perform fundamental modeling of power using Microsoft office applications
- Ability to make clear and concise decisions to bring to senior members
- Work across the organization with multiple team members
- Create strategic initiatives and maintain those independently
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the commodity markets
- Technical skills (Python, Tableau, ET.)
- Financial modeling capabilities within the REC markets
- Strong communication and public speaking skills
