Select Kids is seeking a full-time pediatric Occupational Therapist in Virginia Beach
$20,000 Sign-on Bonus
We are seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our large multidisciplinary team at our Virginia Beach location. We offer speech, physical, and occupational therapy services at this dedicated outpatient pediatric center. Our patients range in diagnoses. We focus on quality care through a supportive team environment, company-paid continuing education, and reasonable caseload expectations. Pediatric experience is required for this position but we will consider new graduate OTs with pediatric clinical internships, preferably outpatient and early intervention. This full-time position may require one day treating in our Suffolk outpatient peds center. You must have your driver's license and reliable transportation for early intervention home visits and travel between pediatric locations. You must be able to complete Virginia Early Intervention certification via a free online webinar. We provide outpatient services in the cities of VA Beach and Suffolk as well as early intervention services throughout the Hampton Roads area. We treat a multitude of pediatric patients with diagnoses ranging from developmental delay, torticollis, cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing, feeding delays, speech and language delays, and more.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-6pm, Friday 9am-1pm

Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Occupational Therapy
- National registration and state licensure or registration REQUIRED
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Valid state driver’s license.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone.
- Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a work day/shift.
- Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records, recognize people and provide directions. Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
- Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility.
- Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate reporting, charting, scheduling, daily correspondence and presentations, either manually or through use of electronic equipment.
- Possess grasp ability for effective and efficient handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.
