Entry Level Buyer

SeaLect Plastics, a division of Patrick Industries is growing and seeking a Buyer to join our team. Reporting to the General Manager, the Buyer is responsible for purchasing, reporting, forecasting, and scheduling for the Purchasing Team. The Buyer will also be responsible for ISO QMS processes involving the review of processes and planning of internal audits.

SeaLect Plastics is the leading injection molding company in the Pacific Northwest. SeaLect Plastics provides plastic injection molding, design, product development, and expert tooling to high-value private companies and government entities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Purchasing of production and maintenance supplies, including; raw material, shop tools, cleaners, mold releases, safety equipment, and office supplies
• Maintain existing Bills of Material
• Negotiate purchasing contracts and issue P.O’s
• Assist in training and writing work instructions
• Responding to customer inquiries and providing updates as needed
• Observe safety rules within manufacturing area
• Assist QC Supervisor with documenting ISO procedure
• Ensure the Quality Management System is maintained
• Observe safety rules in manufacturing environment
• Assist in training as it pertains to ISO QMS
• Provide support to customer requests through order processing and email resolution
• Update of customer accounts

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of purchasing experience
• ISO Certification is desired
• Previous manufacturing experience is highly desired
• Strong Attention to detail and organization skills
• Strong Problem Solving Skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
• High enthusiasm, energy, and initiative
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong accountability and follow through skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel
