Selectek has an exciting opportunity for a 3D CAD Designer to join our clients growing team. This position will be responsible for interacting directly with clients to understand their design needs, and then creating shop fabrication drawings in CAD that can then be used by the field installation team for construction. This person will work with the shop team to ensure the design needs for the client are met.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
Designers will start by receiving information on a new project from a client and then reach out to the client to discuss the details. They will then enter the information into their calculation software. Once they have this info, they will be able to create the 2D or 3D shop drawings that will be used for fabrication. Once it is sent to fabrication, they will work with the team and make adjustments as necessary to the shop drawings.

Pay Range: $22/hour - $25/hour ($46,000 - $52,000 annual salary)
Term of assignment: 6 months temp to direct
Pay Method when Direct: Salary, no OT
Location of job: Dahlonega, GA 30533
Hours & Shift: Monday - Friday 8AM 5PM
Work From Home: Not at first but possibly down the road
Working Remote: No
Overtime: Not often
Travel: None
Work Attire: Casual Jeans and collared shirt

Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Design floating and fixed dock projects
- Generate all necessary CAD drawings
- Review all contract drawings and specifications
- Conduct pre-design meetings with sales/project manager to confirm design requirements
- Make project design changes to meet customer requirements
- Communicate with customer on shop drawing approval
- Create shop fabrication drawings and Bill of Materials for shop fabrication
- Consult with shop during project fabrication process when necessary
- Resolve any issues with dealers during installation.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
- Associates Degree in Drafting or AutoCAD Certification
- 3 years of working experience with AutoCAD with the ability to produce 3D (AutoCAD 3D) and 2D renderings and construction/shop drawings.
