What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Drafter/Designer position at Selectek, Inc.?

Our client is currently seeking a Mechanical Drafter/Designer.

Summary:

  • This person will be performing drafting and design work for industrial piping and instrumentation (P&IDs).

Requirements:

  • Drafting experience with AutoCAD
  • Must be able to read and understand existing plant drawings (equipment, structural steel, concrete, and site work) or be capable of learning

Preferred:

  • Experience in 3D modeling is a plus
  • Know how to do walk downs, to include the identification and field sketching of existing installations
  • Be able to work independently and under supervision for the markup and preparation of Piping and Instrument Drawings (P&IDs)

Pay Rate:

  • $25.00 – 31.25/hr, dependent on experience
