What are the responsibilities and job description for the Structural Engineer position at Selectek, Inc.?

Immediate opening for an experienced structural engineer in metro Atlanta, GA.

Summary:

General responsibilities will include performing designs for a variety of project types including Pulp & Paper, Power & Utilities as well as other heavy industrial and commercial structures. The candidate will also assist in designing and drafting larger, more complex structural projects. The work will be modeling in 3D. AutoCAD only candidates are welcome, but will need to learn Revit.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, with an emphasis in structural design required. MS in structural engineering preferred. (May consider a designer if experienced enough)
  • Experience with current AISC Manual, ASCE7-10, ACI 318-14 and 2018 IBC.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design using steel, concrete, and masonry
  • Solid interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with structural analysis software (RAM)
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Revit is highly preferred
  • If candidate has a PE, that is a plus

Pay: $36-$55/hr.

Location: Duluth, GA

Duration: Temp-to-hire
