Piping Designer Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Piping Designer to join our team at Selectek in Aurora, NC.
As a Piping Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical and piping systems for our clients. You will work closely with our Project Managers to ensure that designs meet industry and customer specifications, policies, procedures, and security requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop 2D and 3D piping systems using industry-standard software
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure design compliance with industry and customer specifications
- Develop and maintain piping designs, including isometric production control and monitoring
- Work with plant personnel and customer management to understand project goals and requirements
- Ensure designs meet industry and regulatory standards, including ANSI, ASME, ASTM, and API
Requirements:
- Technology Diploma or equivalent preferred, or additional experience (Mechanical preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years piping design experience or equivalent relevant experience
- Design, drafting, and modeling skills in 2D and 3D environments
- Working knowledge of piping components and materials
- Ability to take instruction and work independently
- Knowledge of industry or regulatory standards and codes as required for piping design
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AutoDesk Plant 3D, P&ID & PFD software or Design Review CAD software
- Experience with Solidworks Piping (company is moving to this software)
Pay Range: $50-$55/hr
