Licensed Cosmetologist, Lakelands NRC

Required Qualifications

Minimum requirements include the following:

• Active Cosmetologist License in the state of South Carolina.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide services for all residents of different ethnicities including, shampooing, cutting, setting of hair, coloring, perms, braiding, beard and mustache trims
• Polish nails as requested
• Transport residents to and from beauty/barber shop in a safe manner
• Make sure that all supplies are well in stock and notify Activity Director when supplies need to be replenished
• Sanitize and clean work stations and maintain safe and pleasant environment for residents
• Keep work area(s) free of hazardous objects, unnecessary equipment, supplies, etc.
• Provide facility a daily list of residents serviced in beauty/barber shop and service rendered
• Report to nurses any change noted in physical or mental status of residents while in beauty/barber shop
• Maintain and use equipment properly, such as wheel-chair recliner and hair dryers
• Report broken equipment in a timely manner to Supervisor and Maintenance
• Maintain log of residents that refuse beauty/barber shop appointment(s)
