As an Industrial Electrical Power Engineer in Engineering Services, you’ll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Acts as a mentor to engineers, specialists, and technicians. 2. Serve as a technical expert in the design and application of SEL equipment and solutions. 3. Researches, innovates, and develops new solutions and\or processes. 4. Review\approve\complete scopes, budgets, and schedules for assigned work at the highest level of quality. 5. Project Manage\develop processes\lead in training and assist customers with the creation, design, configuration, validation, review, installation, commissioning, and operation of engineered solutions. 6. Responsible for environmental, health and safety leadership, maintaining a safe workplace, safety awareness and training, accident investigations and reporting, and implementing safe and environmentally sound work practices. 7. Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. 8. Understand. Create. Simplify. 9. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications BS degree in Electrical Engineering or an applicable discipline. 5 years working knowledge and experience in heavy industrial environment in a role primarily focused on the operation, maintenance, and capital upgrades of the electrical power system. Passion for teaching and selling Engineering Services. Expert knowledge in area of focus. Excellent technical training and skills. Willingness to travel a minimum of 25% of the time. Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills. Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities. Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment. Background check results satisfactory to SEL. Negative drug test result(s). Preferred Qualifications Experience operating electrical system to support production activities Scheduling, planning, and overseeing periodic maintenance program for medium voltage and low voltage electrical assets Developing scope of work, securing funding, issuing requests for proposal, reviewing bids, awarding contracts, and managing the scope, schedule, and budget for capital equipment upgrade and/or expansion projects for electrical assets. Supervisory experience Working knowledge of Vision or other PM Tracking Software Professional Engineer license Location Information Alpharetta, GA- This position is located in Alpharetta, GA.
