We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our Tax Department located in Rockville, MD. In this position you will work closely with our tax team and will be instrumental in managing workflows during tax season. In this role you will gain an overall knowledge of the tax return process and develop supervisory skills. We are looking for someone that is eager to learn, can quickly adapt to our systems and processes, be willing to evaluate processes and workflows for improvement and wants to grow in their responsibilities.
Responsibilities
· Manage tax administration process, including scanning of documents, collating and delivering tax returns and monitoring the electronic filing process
· Create and manage workflows, including processing client documents, saving data, maintaining electronic records
· Monitor tax return due dates and provide relevant updates to Partners, Managers, and Staff
· Establish and build relationships with team members and clients
· Demonstrate professionalism in team and client interactions
· Participate in general administrative duties and ad-hoc projects
Qualifications
· Minimum of two years administrative experience
· No prior tax firm knowledge necessary but is preferred
· Strong organizational skills and detail orientation
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment
· Must be able to manage multiple client priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Outlook, Adobe, Word, and Excel)
· Capacity to work overtime and weekends during tax season and as required
