What is SellBuddy:

Our startup is a full-service solution for buying and selling pre-owned items. We offer free pickup of items and take care of all the work to get them ready for sale, including cleaning, assembling/disassembling, photographing, and listing. Our commission-based profit system means that our clients can earn money from their pre-owned belongings without any upfront cost. Not only do we provide a cost-effective alternative to retail shopping, but we also prevent items from ending up in landfills. Our service benefits both buyers and sellers by providing a way for them to save money and find new homes for their gently pre-owned items.

We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and hard-working Studio Photographer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality images of pre-owned belongings in a controlled studio environment. You will then upload these images and relevant details into our database, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date. We are looking for employees who are eager to learn, conscious of their work, and have the potential for promotion. Punctuality and reliability are essential for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean studio space for taking photographs of pre-owned belongings, for example a sectional sofa or small appliances like a microwave or mini-fridge
  • Operate camera equipment and lighting to capture high-quality images of pre-owned belongings
  • Enter item details (such as item name, condition, and category) into our database
  • Maintain accurate records of all photographed items
  • Collaborate with team members to continuously improve our photograph and database processes
  • Store photographed items with efficient use of space in a warehouse environment
  • Must have the ability to assemble and disassemble items for photographing, ensuring that they are presented in a visually appealing and presentable manner.

Qualifications:

  • Highschool diploma
  • Must be able to lift and move heavy items weighing up to 75 lbs independently, or items weighing up to 300 lbs with the assistance of team members and appropriate equipment. Ability to safely use lifting equipment such as belts and dollies is preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating studio lighting and camera equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately enter and organize data
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a photographer
  • Knowledge of best practices for photographing and cataloging pre-owned belongings is a plus

Additional Information:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team on a part-time basis, with the potential for full-time employment as workload increases.
