Bookkeeper/Sales Clerk

We are looking for a part time bookkeeper to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits. Accountant responsibilities include reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and Quick Books. You will also be tasked with working on the retail sales floor of the store. We are a Benjamin Moore Paints dealer. This position will require being able to lift at least 50 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting transactions
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensure timely bank payments
  • Audit financial transactions and documents
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations

Skills

  • Work experience as an Bookkeeper
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software, QuickBooks
  • Experience with general ledger functions
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

  • Retail sales: 3 years (Preferred)
