Job Posting for FINANCE MANAGER - TECHNICAL ACCOUNTING at Seminole Hard Rock Support Services
Overview
This position is responsible for managing all technical accounting and related reporting of Hard Rock’s global businesses. This role is also instrumental in providing financial leadership and supporting new and existing programs to ensure compliance with accounting standards and facilitate periodic financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Adhere to Seminole Hard Rock Support Services policies and procedures
Play an integral role in managing a highly responsive technical reporting department that interfaces across the organization to support key business initiatives.
Research and analyze technical positions and compliance efforts related to local US GAAP, IFRS, GASB and other country by country GAAPs.
Proactively research and implement new standards, pronouncements and policies
Timely prepare memos, summarizing issues, conclusions and rationale for key accounting policies
Serve as the key contact for technical accounting consultants and manage deliverables
Maintain fixed assets, operating and finance leases (ASC 842), derivatives, investments, loan and interest, equity, non-controlling interest, intercompany and other schedules
Review reconciliations, workbooks and supporting documents for monthly journals and periodic reporting
Liaise with internal financial reporting and external audit teams, and other stakeholders to address queries and meet reporting deadlines
Prepare financial statement disclosures relating to technical accounting areas
Maintain lease database and other software applications to support periodic reporting
Coordinate monthly with property controllers, IT, members of finance, tax, treasury, legal, merchandise and other departments to obtain necessary information and analysis to support reporting requirements
Prepare analysis of statutory GAAP to US GAAP differences for foreign locations.
Drive process improvements and efficiencies related to technical reporting, including the amalgamation of information from various properties
Teach/coach and document employees who fail to meet standards to maintain a high quality workforce.
Present a professional image to employees, guests, clients, owners and investors.
Operate ethically and in accordance with professional standards.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with advanced Master’s degree preferred.
CPA or equivalent certification required.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including ASC 842 and 606 implementation
Must possess excellent time management skills
Strong communication skills, including being a good listener and articulating complex issues in a crisp, compelling, and insightful manner.
Microsoft Office proficiency.
