The incumbent in this position is responsible for reporting and photographing news for the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Seminole Tribune newspaper. The incumbent in this position travels across all STOF reservations and other areas to gather relevant information related to news, activities and events occurring within the reservations and other areas; develops factual stories and produces articles or multimedia for publication in The Seminole Tribune.
The Reporter is also be responsible for editing stories, posting photos and stories on The Seminole Tribune's website and social media platforms, and assisting with layout. The individual also organizes material, determines slant or emphasis, coordinates material with designated freelancers and writes stories according to prescribed editorial style and format standards. This position is responsible for working as an integral part of Seminole Media Productions (SMP). In that capacity, the incumbent is also responsible for working closely with SMP in coordinating schedule, coverage and activities. The position may also involve some multi-platform reporting in assisting with electronic news gathering and producing packages for other areas, in addition to The Seminole Tribune.
