IT Specialist

Semper Tek, Inc. is seeking a Full Time IT Specialist to work in our Corporate Office. Semper Tek is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVOSB) construction firm specializing in federal horizontal and vertical construction projects throughout the southeast U.S. Clients we serve include US Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Veterans Affairs, General Services Administration, and various DoD agencies. We are currently seeking to hire an I.T. Specialist to support all computer related functions within the company, provide support to end users both in-house and via our specialized consultant, and help keep our systems up to date and secure.

I.T. Specialist Responsibilities to include:

• Company liaison between Semper Tek and their I.T. Specialized Consultant.
• In the area of I.T., is responsible for new hire setup and on-boarding as well as offboarding of company employees.

• Handles all I.T. needs for new office locations as well as collecting electronic equipment and devices when offices close or jobsite trailers are removed after project completion. Traveling to new locations/jobsites as well as office/jobsites before closing will be required to assist with setup/breakdown.

• Manages the Semper Tek help desk to included troubleshooting issues. Issues that cannot be solved internally will be submitted to Semper Tek’s I.T. Specialized Consultant and the I.T. Coordinator will work with the consultant and employee until the problem is resolved.

• Under the supervision of the I.T. Manager, manages electronic devices to include purchasing, setup, and tracking. Manages electronic device admin portals, registers devices online, and coordinates repair/replacement of defective devices still under warranty.

• Manages company I.T. related admin accounts and adds/removes employees as needed: Microsoft 365, Adobe, GoToMeeting, and GSuite.

• Manages quarterly/yearly software updates and software installation between Semper Tek’s I.T. Specialized Consultant, vendors, and employees.
• Manages company I.T. vendor accounts as well as approves vendor invoices in paperless accounting software and works with vendors when charges are incorrect.
• Manages internal I.T. Security. Assists withCybersecurity Maturation Model Certification (CMMC) process. Enrolls new employees in Cybersecurity training and verifies completion.Sets up 2-Factor Authentication on all employees’ Microsoft 365 accounts. Educates users on cybersecurity, spamming/phishing email, etc. as needed.
• Submits an I.T. Summary to the executive team each quarter to show what items are in progress, completed and ongoing.
• Manages various I.T. projects throughout the year as they arise such as internal I.T. projects, server organization, etc.

Travels to office locations on a routine basis for evaluation and to provide assistance as needed.
