Responsibilities of the Code Enforcement Officer
- Under the Uniform Fire Prevention & Building Codes- reviews, checks, & passes plans/ applications/ permits
- Inspects buildings & structures
- Communicates State Uniform Fire Prevention & Building Codes
- Maintains records of acts, decisions, investigations
- Prepares reports
Qualifications of the Code Enforcement Officer
- Associate’s Degree (Architecture, Architecture Tech, Building Construction, Fire Protections, or Engineering)
- HS Diploma 2 years of work experience in building/fire inspections, code enforcement, building trades, building construction repair, or firefighting
