Personal caregiver

Senior Helpers, a leading provider of in-home senior care services, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-time Personal Caregiver for our Denver franchise.

This position will primarily assist clients with their personal care needs and provide companionship to improve their overall quality of life.

This is a part-time position with weekday shifts.

The individual in this role will work directly with clients in their homes.

MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION & NEED TO BE LISTED AS A VALID DRIVER ON YOUR INSURANCE*

Compensation & Benefits :

This is a PART-TIME, hourly position with a competitive pay rate of $18 to $21 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities :

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing.
• Help remind clients to take prescribed medication according to the physician’s instructions.
• Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations and activities with clients
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks (taking out the trash, dishes, laundry, sweeping / vacuuming.
• Assisting the client with transfers, ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor appointments, walks etc.)
• Monitor and report any changes in client's health or behavior to the caregiver supervisor
• Follow all health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Attend ongoing training and development programs to enhance caregiving skills

Requirements :

• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check
• Basic knowledge of personal care and homemaking tasks
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development programs
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time
