We are searching for an experienced Safety Coordinator at our Redmond, OR facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Process Safety Engineer

The ideal candidate will have professional Safety experience in a manufacturing environment. Professional certification is ideal. The ideal candidate will also have experience with OSHA regulations as it relates to manufacturing and strong project management, and process planning.

This position will be responsible for all Safety Programs and conduct safety training for all personnel. Assist in the execution of CI strategy via Lean (5S) and Six Sigma methods to deliver bottom line, quantified results. This includes performing business assessments, planning, facilitation, execution of kaizen events and sustainment through standard work and procedures.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Business, Manufacturing or other related field.

Job Knowledge/Skills Required:

• Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  
• Safety certifications are strongly preferred.
• Experience interpreting OSHA regulations and ensuring compliance is required.
• Lean Manufacturing Certifications: Six Sigma green/black belt. Black belt preferred.
  
• Minimum of Three (3) to Five (5) years related experience, including project management and process planning.
  
• Minimum of Three (3) years’ experience in safety. Five (5) or more years preferred.
  
• Experience with ERP systems; preference give to those with INFOR experience.
  
• Ability to understand, implement and apply lean tools and concepts.
  
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment with Lean Manufacturing experience.
  
• Six Sigma (Green Belt), Black belt preferred, but not required.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, group presentation skills, computer proficiency (including Excel and Word).
  
• Must have mechanical aptitude, working knowledge of Industrial Engineering tools (Time Studies, Workflow Analysis, Pareto Charts, etc.), and excellent problem-solving skills.
  
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to implement win-win solutions,
  
• Excellent statistical and mathematical skills
