Position Summary:

The Associate role is the starting point of a career in public accounting at Sensiba.  As an Associate, the professional focus is developing technical, project management and communications skills, as well as earning professional credentials as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).  This role is vital to Sensiba, supporting fellow team members on engagements while gaining specific client and industry knowledge.  Classroom and on-the-job training will teach fundamental technical accounting skills, auditing, client service standards, and team communication.  Time spent as an Associate is critical to professional development.  This is where the development of professional habits begins with self-study, communication, work paper technique, time management, and issue assessment and resolution.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist as a staff member on the following engagements within our Venture Capital (VC), Tech or Manufacturing & Construction niches:
    • Full-scope audits
    • Reviews
    • Compilations
    • Prepared financial statements
    • Other projects including AUP's, 1099's, and 571L's
  • Testing various accounts on the Balance Sheet and Income Statement
  • Performing accounting services of various scopes
  • Documenting procedures
  • Rolling binders and templates
  • Client meetings
  • Clearing points once work is reviewed by seniors
  • Attending various training courses

Qualifications


  • Accounting or related Degree received prior to planned start date
  • GPA minimum of 3.2 preferred 
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication is required
  • Impeccable interpersonal skills
  • Desire to learn and grow with Sensiba
