Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Shipping & Receiving Manager to lead our logistics team. As the Shipping & Receiving Manager at Sensical Inc., you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods in and out of our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the shipping and receiving process, from coordinating shipments to managing inventory and warehouse organization, while also maintaining a budget through quality, cost and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the shipping and receiving department.
- Coordinate and schedule shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers.
- Manage and maintain inventory levels, tracking stock levels, and conducting regular audits.
- Supervise a team of shipping and receiving personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with other departments, including production, purchasing and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols in the shipping and receiving area.
- Optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Negotiate and maintain relationships with carriers, suppliers, and vendors.
- Resolve issues related to damaged shipments, discrepancies, and inventory shortages.
- Generate reports and provide regular updates to senior management on shipping and receiving performance.
- Utilize data information system (ERP) to ensure real-time transactions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving management, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using logistics and inventory management software, Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and compliance.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Tow motor certified a plus
