Senior Copywriter
Looking for a full-time Senior Copywriter with an proven track record working on fully integrated campaigns at established agencies, big or small. You're a "big idea" creative and can translate a concept into a variety of high-profile tactics, but you're not above writing paid search, landing page copy, or the occasional paid Facebook ad. You've worked at small shops before, understand that "roll up your sleeves and get stuff done" ethos, and are totally comfortable wearing many different hats (figuratively speaking) on a given day.
You can work in fast-paced environments, with quick turnarounds, but you are also detail-oriented and rarely drop balls. You multitask. You present persuasively. You've got a well-honed sense of diplomacy and clients love you. You have a sense of humor, but you know when to get serious. You know you're good, but you're not arrogant and you can check your ego at the door.

Duties & Responsibilities
This position may include some or all of the following:
- Work as a team with Senior Art Director to deliver Big Idea concepts, integrated campaigns, and other advertising/marketing tactics that might include, but are not limited to, landing pages, websites, standard & rich media banners, webisodes, video pre-roll, mobile ads, paid and organic social media posts, print, outdoor, POS, collateral, radio, TV and guerrilla tactics.
- Write, proofread, and accurately edit copy for a variety of clients ranging from government services to healthcare and energy utilities.
- Collaborate with Strategic Planning, Design, User Experience, and other internal agency departments to deliver brand messages.
- Rewrite, edit, and fact-check copy.
- Present your work clearly and persuasively to agency staff and clients.
- Write compelling rationales, and write/edit/proofread presentation materials and/or RFP responses, as needed.
- Take creative the lead on the accounts assigned to you, frequently working with limited creative supervision, and delivering relevant creative directly to Strategy, Accounts, and clients.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of copywriting or writing experience, preferably at an ad agency or interactive shop.
- College degree required; minimum of BA in Journalism, English, Comparative Literature (Eng/Span), Creative Writing, Communications, or similar writing-intensive degree preferred
- A portfolio that reflects a high level of conceptual thinking, creativity, and accuracy.
- Must demonstrate a grasp of the current and emerging trends in social media, mobile apps, search, and other digital platforms.
- Computer skills: Mac-based Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat are must-haves; skills with photo-editing and design programs are appreciated but not required.
- Excellent oral and verbal communication skills, and ease and enthusiasm presenting to groups.
- Ability to 'play nice' and work seamlessly with all departments within the agency.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines with a good work ethic and multi-task between multiple jobs simultaneously.
- A willingness to fight for good work but can also take criticism in stride.
- You understand how to mentor and motivate junior creatives to help them grow and produce their best work.
