Sentara Healthcare is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Compliance Manager.

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location: This position is a hybrid (on site and remote scheduling) for residents of the Hampton Roads, Virginia /North Caroline area

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).

Position Summary:

The Manager of Health Plan Compliance and Integrity is responsible for supporting the Director and up to Vice President in compliance management throughout the department and division.

Position objective is to assist the organization/department to meet the regulatory requirements and support quality and integrity efforts.

  • Responsibilities include assisting with interpretation of federal and state rules, laws and regulations
  • Identifying and resolving compliance related issues
  • Developing and implementing compliance work plans, policies and procedures, and activities
  • Monitoring and auditing division and/or department functions against regulatory requirements
  • Educating staff on compliance and regulations; and communicating to staff and key external stakeholders compliance issues or regulatory and/or legislative changes.
  • Annual reporting and license renewals

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or Risk Management (or other closely related educational major)
  • Three years' experience in Health Industry, Risk Management or Compliance
  • Previous experience working for a Health Plan or Insurance industry preferred
