Lead all aspects of ambulatory health delivery to improve quality, access, and cost of care to Sentara’s patients, members, and communities, and drive meaningful value for Sentara - Define and lead the strategy and supporting initiatives to shift appropriate care out of the acute setting - Improve medical group cost performance by improving productivity and enabling top of license practice - Maximize service line value and growth by designing a strategy in line with broader clinical and enterprise strategy that drives efficiency, quality, consumer experience, and health outcomes and grows share of care in targeted service lines - Champion the expansion of Community Care Centers and other innovative models of care to facilitate medical access, address social determinants of health, and improve community health outcomes Experience: - Leadership experience in several areas of ambulatory care (e.g., medical group, virtual health, ASCs) - Strong clinical operations experience, and demonstrated experience leading physicians - Proven ability to scale a growing business Attributes: - Execution-focused - Analytical problem-solver and decision-maker - Strategic thinker - Collaborative - Inspirational people leader Skills and Knowledge: - Forward-thinking leader with an understanding of the implications of digital on patient care - Ability to influence and lead physicians - Knowledge of health care trends, innovation, and disruption, and their application across lines of business, sites of care, functions, and stakeholders - Knowledge of industry regulatory requirements - Advanced degree in management, such as healthcare administration, business administration, public health, or related field
