Medical Coding Specialist

Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Medical Coding Specialist

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).

Position Summary:

Comprehensive understanding of the entire billing cycle, medical terminology, coding, charge entry, insurance adjudication, contractual agreements, payment posting, statements and collections.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3 years of multi-specialty coding experience
• Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), International Classification of Diseases version 10 (ICD-10), Heath Care Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) and Modifier Coding preferred.
• CCS or CPC required
