What are the responsibilities and job description for the Practice Manager I position at Sentara?
Velocity Urgent Care (now solely owned by Sentara Health) is actively looking for a qualified Practice Manager I. The Practice Manager I is directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of their clinic while assisting in the care of patients. The Practice Manager I will ensure that the clinic provides the highest quality of patient care and an exceptional overall patient experience. This individual will be responsible for the operational and administrative functions of their clinic to include performance management, implementation and execution of established processes, protocols, and workflows, inventory, and managing the financial performance of the clinic in relation to a budget.
Schedule: 2 12-hour shifts, 1 8-hour shift, and 1 6-hour shift. Required to work every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 8am-4pm.

Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years' of leadership experience in ambulatory care environment preferred.
Minimum 3 years' of clinical experience.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Successful completion of CMOM course required within 18 months of hire.
CMOM certification preferred.
· Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant or certified EMT-B required.
· Existing Medical Assistants hired prior to 12/1/14 may obtain the Cert MA or Reg MA certification or obtain the Assessment Based Recognition Order Entry (ABR-OE) prior to 6/30/15. BLS required within 90 days of hire.
