We are looking for an energetic Warehouse Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the warehouse team in daily operations including, but not limited to, picking, packing, and shipping of commercial door hardware. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional detail to the tasks at hand. Additionally, the warehouse associate must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Order picking: Process orders as they are submitted to the warehouse; pull items from associated BINs on rack system in warehouse while ensuring accuracy of orders and items.
- Packaging: Confirm order accuracy of items on packing slip coincide with items that were picked prior to packaging everything together in the most efficient / best manner possible. Prepare goods for shipment, including potential of shrink-wrapping pallets and loading delivery vehicles (LTL).
- Shipping: Process item fullfilment for hardware via shipping software to generate the packing slip and process. Label associate boxes to company standards.
- Inventory management: Receive and put away hardware as it comes into the warehouse. If required relabel hardware as needed.
- Safety and Efficiency Performance: Maintain a high level of health and safety standards while performing all tasks including the operation of equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and order pickers.
- Other general warehouse duties: Maintaining a clean and healthy workspace / environment by keeping the warehouse tidy. Sweep / mopping floor as needed if required.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)
- High School education or GED preferred.
- OSHA Forklift and HAZMAT certification a plus
Requirements:
- 2-4 years warehouse experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) and perform physical tasks as required
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
