What You’ll Do

In addition, you will…
- Develop and implement member engagement and education programs providing training and resource to members, ensuring they are informed about successful management of their finances.
- Build and maintain relationships with new/existing members, local businesses, community organizations, and other potential partners representing the credit union at community events and builds a positive image for the organization.
- Provide information to members seeking to learn more about SCU products and services conducting interviews to determine what products best fit their needs.
- Conduct account and loan interviews with members to complete applications, ensuring a thorough understanding of financial need, verifying provided information such as employment, income, deposit accounts, and liabilities as required by SCU policies.
- Evaluate completed applications to approve or deny loans in compliance with SCU policies and applicable state/federal laws, notifies members of decisions with thorough explanations, and collaborates on next steps or alternative options for securing future loans.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business, finance, or marketing preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience.
- Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor, and Development Educator preferred.
- Knowledge of account and loan policies, procedures, and practices.
- Thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to accounts and loans. Previous business development/marketing experience preferred.
- Possession or ability to obtain a Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) number.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
