Summary / Objective
The CACFP Specialist handles incoming telephone calls related to meal services and review records, performs filing, duplicating, and assembling of materials, and assists in record keeping and data entry related to the CACFP program. Completes monthly reports and checks on the accuracy of all center inventory, meal counts, eligibility forms, and menu compliance.
Essential Functions

Completes budget forms and assists in completion of grant submission for reimbursement to the CACFP.

Remains aware of all rules and forms needed to document compliance with USDA meal counts; assists in staff training and monitoring.

Reviews menu services to food purchase to classroom attendance.

Assists nutritionist with feedback and menu distribution.
- Prepares specifications for purchases / researches price comparisons.

Completes assignments such as payroll verification and other office tasks as assigned from the finance department related to the CACFP, Head Start, or indirect.

Performs other duties, as may be required.

Education and Experience
Minimum qualifications include:

Position Type and Expected Work Hours
This position is a full-time, year-round non-exempt position scheduled to work 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Some overnight travel may be required for training events. Occasional weekend work may be required.
