AFFOR Information Manager for A55 Production Cell

You will be part of 9th Air Force (9AF) United States Air Force Central Command (AFCENT) which is the Air Force Service Component of United States Central Command (USCENTCOM), a joint Department of Defense combatant command responsible for U.S. security interests in 27 nations that stretch from the Horn of Africa through the Persian Gulf region, into Central Asia. This position supports 9 AF AFCENT/A55.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Provide operational planning expertise to assist in future deliberate steady‐state and contingency operational planning.
  • Provide operational planning expertise to assist in current crisis action planning.
  • Provide analysis and technical input recommendations to 9AF AFCENT WARNORD, OPLAN, OPORD, and FRAGO development and production guidance and other plans, utilizing Joint, CENTCOM and HAF guidance. In addition, they will keep the existing plans and orders up to date and executable and coordinate with external agencies as required, to include Army Central Command (ARCENT), CENTCOM, CAOC, and others.
  • Facilitate Component Operational Planning Teams and coordinate across 9AF AFCENT functional areas and Air Expeditionary Wings on the production of all orders and other Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) messages.
  • Assist with updating/developing orders production guidance for 9AF AFCENT and inform CENTCOM of 9AF AFCENT initiatives; including creating products to update senior leaders.
  • Coordinate all aspects of orders development internally to 9 AF (AFCENT) and externally with USCENTCOM, HAF and other MAJCOM offices on WARNORD, OPLAN, OPORD, FRAGO and other AMHS messages, including development of common products, templates, and processes.
  • Administer applicable data repositories (i.e. C2IE, C2IMERA, SharePoint, other websites) associated with the Orders Production Cell on NIPR, SIPR, and other networks.
  • Ensures the capture of key information and lessons during coordination and development of WARNORD, OPLAN, OPORD, FRAGOs and other AMHS messages.
  • Ensure Orders Production Cell compiles, organizes, and posts information in a logical manner to aid the planning process and to preserve future reference.
  • Oversees Orders Production Cell’s use of information technology tools (e.g. TMT, C2IE, C2IMERA, etc.) to build and maintain web pages, templates, training briefs, and draft orders.
  • Coordinate with the Knowledge Management Officer (KMO) to ensure compliance with 9AF AFCENT Information Management (IM) and/or Knowledge Management (KM) Plans.
  • Coordinate with 9 AF (AFCENT) Command Center to publish all orders and other AMHS messages.
  • Support 9AF AFCENT/A3 personnel in response to routine suspense and staff inquiries as they apply to the production of all 9AF AFCENT orders and other AMHS messages and general/broader office management and processes (such as Division‐level tasker management) when required. Also, the contractor shall assist in the development, for government production and distribution, of written documentation (e.g., 9 AF AFCENT) policy letters, letters of instruction, business rules, etc.), which enhance the understanding of 9AF AFCENT’s business rules for orders production.
  • Comply with all staff and joint policies IAW the current versions of AFI 13‐103, Air Force Forces (AFFOR) Staff Operations, Readiness and Structures and HQ 9AF AFCENT and HQ 9AF AFCENT/A3 policies and guidance.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance after hire.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor's Degree or five (5) years’ experience on a NAF or higher‐level staff.
  • Three (3) years’ experience
    • Working plans/programs and AMHS message production in a Component‐Numbered AF or HHQ staff position or other service equivalent.
    • Use of Microsoft Office applications, email systems, and Task Management Tool or the equivalent.
    • In USCENTCOM operational environment, including deliberate and crisis action planning.
  • One (1) year experience in the use of C2IE, C2IMERA, or equivalent database tools.
  • Must be capable of worldwide travel including passport and visa requirements.
  • Ability to travel 25% as requested.
