Administrative Assistant Job Description

1. Answer telephone in a professional manor and route call to the appropriate party
2. Update and maintain resident/employee birthday list
3. Assist resident with Activities of daily living, including but not limited to dressing, grooming, dining, etc.
4. Exemplary computer skills
5. Maintain employee schedules
6. Take on-call on a rotating basis with the Director Team to provide support for the on-call shift supervisor
7. Assist with new-hire intake including posting positions, screening resumes, interviews, and hiring for care staff
8. Cover shifts as needed
9. Maintain facility log book (i.e. Refrigerator temperatures, Water Temperatures)
10. Maintain Fire Inspection Book
11. Maintain cleanliness of the building and assign cleaning duties to staff as needed
12. Monitor Supervisor’s log book for completion of tasks assigned
13. Conduct tours when necessary.
14. Maintain appearance of building
15. Encourage and motivate shift supervisors and caregivers and bring forward new ideas to better these roles.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day

• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner

• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends

• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)

• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards

• Supportive and compassionate

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program

• Take pride in providing high quality care
