Title: Clinical Supervisor
Department/Location: Clinical
Reports to: Executive Director
Supervises: Clinicians, Medical Records
General Purpose of the Position:
Oversees, assigns, coordinates, and assists staff in providing counseling services to clients; Responsible for
interviewing, selecting, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising
performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Seeks
grants, administers and monitor grants and assists Executive Director by developing and implementing budget.
Supervises substance abuse staff, perform staff evaluations, by performing the following duties:
Responsibilities:
- Assigns caseloads and related duties, and coordinates activities of staff in providing counseling services to assist clients.
- Assists agency staff members through individual and group conferences in analyzing case problems and in improving their diagnostic and helping skills
- Reviews case records, evaluates performance of staff members, and recommends indicated action.
- Participates in developing and implementing section policy
- Assist in the development of staff competencies
- Carries a small caseload to counsel clients individually or in groups on planned or experimental basis and in emergencies.
- Works with Program Managers and staff to develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate prevention and educational activities.
- Trains new employees in areas such as agency policy, section procedures, and the Sigmund electronic health record system.
- Provides direction to staff in areas such as new policies, procedures, regulations and new therapeutic modalities, including traditional healing activities.
- Represents agency in community or in interagency activities
- Conducts or directs staff development programs.
- Attends department meetings and other meetings as assigned.
- Maintain 24-hour on-call availability and manage on-call staffing schedule.
- Adheres to accreditation and compliance standards/guidelines.
- Maintains a professional, organized, clean working environment by following organizational policies, guidelines, and safety standards.
- Assists in development of departmental policy, procedures, and quality improvement activities within the clinic as directed.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements
Essential Skills:
- Licensed LCSW, LMHC, MFT or MS, MBA, CAP, PhD and four years or more of clinical experience
- Must have one-year supervisory experience
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, operation and experience with keyboarding. Have the ability to work with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Must be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their culture.
- Must be able to present a positive working environment.
- Must be able to work with a wide variety of people in a positive manner.
