Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to individuals in their homes or in a residential care facility
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support residents' rights and promote their independence and dignity
- Assist individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily routines and activities
- Provide memory care for individuals with cognitive impairments
- Administer first aid and emergency care as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
Skills:
- Experience working with individuals in a home care or nursing home setting
- Knowledge of resident rights and regulations related to personal care assistance
- Familiarity with assisting individuals with developmental disabilities and memory care needs
- Ability to perform basic first aid procedures
- Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Proficient in meal preparation and dietary restrictions
- Ability to lift and transfer residents as needed
