Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

Serenity Personal Care Services is an established personal care agency located in the town of Monticello, AR. We are comminated to serving our clients, while also providing our aides with as much support that's needed for them to be able to successfully meet the needs of our clients. Care is always provided in the comfort of the client's own home. Initial training is provided free of cost to all of our aides, as well as, continued training.

We are currently looking for a personal care aide to support a physically challenged client in their everyday lives. If you’re a compassionate, positive person who isn’t afraid to work hard, then this is a job for you. We expect you to be polite and a good communicator. Experience in housekeeping tasks and caring for the elderly or sick will make you a strong candidate. Pay varies depending on experience and certifications held. This position is a weekend only position with limited hours. Rotating weekends are likely, as well.

* 1 position available in the Monticello area

Responsibilities will include the following

• Ensure clients receive their medication on time
• Support clients who can’t move on their own
• Help clients dress, bathe, eat etc.
• Cook meals according to the client’s care plan
• Help clients with their shopping
• Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment
• Inform supervisors about uncommon events
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Clock in and out of shifts via the Electronic Visit Verification(EVV) system
• Work only at the client's home or elsewhere while doing allowed tasks only during an allowed time frame.

Skills required

• Proven experience as personal care assistant
• Committed to health & safety
• Able to do housework and cooking
• Well-organized and reliable
• Good communication and people friendly
• Positive and compassionate attitude
• PREFERRED SKILLS: CNA Certification, PCA Certification, or 1 year proven experience doing personal care
• Be able to pass a background check, child maltreatment check, and adult maltreatment check
