Job Description:
We are seeking a new Spa Manager to join the Serenity Spa team!

The University Place location is our largest location and their manager must be an expert at multi-tasking and delegating to help support both their team as well as every guest that enters the spa.
The Spa Manager is the head of the entire team at their spa location. They are in charge of keeping the front desk orderly and functioning and keeping client operations running smoothly. They will need to be an expert sales person to ensure their teams are supporting their guests with purchasing of spa memberships, boutique gifts, skincare and body products. They will need to delegate to their team leads to ensure operations are running smoothly daily and all team members are trained and supported. Maintaining a constant running list of weekly tasks to be delegated to front desk employees on tasks related to the schedule and cleaning of the spa. The Spa Manager will be the go-between for their team and senior management, so they will be required to attend regular meetings to update progress and to stay up-to-date on any new protocols at the spa.
As the Spa Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that each guest's visit is a tranquil and memorable experience.
Daily Duties Include, but are not Limited to:
- Managing a team of 6 employees
- Front Desk
- Massage
- Estheticians
- Interviewing, mentoring and training all new Spa Coordinators to provide an amazing guest experience each and every time
- Training on sales and selling memberships and products
- Inventory of front desk and general spa supplies
- Taking calls and fielding questions from Front Desk Team related to protocols and specific guest questions
- Working directly with Massage and Esthetics leads to ensure support to practitioners
- Attending and presenting at monthly Leadership Team Meetings
- Running updates and keeping computers and tablets running
- Training and motivating front desk on sales of packages, upgrades and memberships to clients
- Regular front desk duties of scheduling, phones and checking in/out guests
- Maintaining a constant relaxing atmosphere at the spa
- Dealing with any guest complaints to find a resolution and prevent negative reviews
- Lead monthly Front Desk meetings for your location
- Attend any training or team building events to further education
- Quarterly check-ins with team members reviewing the following:
- Sales Goals
- Customer Service (reviews and feedback)
- Discuss team member concerns
- Efficiency of work
- Reward team members with positive feedback
- Taking Call-Outs on Work Days and Monitors Call-Outs when delegated to another Spa Coordinator.
- Trains front desk team on how to effectively retain guests when service providers call out.
- Helps the team to plan vacation and day of coverage.
- Monitoring Daily Customer Schedules
- Look at schedule on a daily basis
- Optimize schedules to ensure as many guests are able to be seen
- Reviews unpaid tickets
- Looks for inappropriate discounts
- Front Desk Team Schedules
- Create weekly team schedules and releases weekly
- Monitors time off requests and adjusts schedule accordingly

Qualities:
- Self Motivated: takes on responsibilities without being asked and follows through

- Leader: always conducts themself in a manner that sets an example for all the other staff
- Knowledgeable: it is required that the Spa Manager have an extensive knowledge of all the skills and procedures the Spa offers in order to educate both employees and customers.
- Thoughtful: when dealing with conflicts it is important they are calm, meaningful and deliberate with their actions and words
- Considerate: it is important for them to be able to keep information confidential and private when dealing with HR sensitive issues of sta or the private information of Serenity’s guests
- Calm: is able to remain calm when guests or staff have emergencies or need support
- Organized: shares plans and organizes thoughts that are easily understood by the rest of their team
- Consistent: follows up with team members on a consistent basis
Qualifications:
- 2 years customer service experience
- 1 year management experience
- 2 years sales experience
- Previous Spa Experience
