What are the responsibilities and job description for the Screen Fabricator position at Serigraph?

Serigraph is seeking a skilled and detail oriented Screen Fabricator responsible for performing all screen fabrication duties related to making and preparing quality screens for the screening department with a low screen re-boot rate and press downtime.
- Responsible for providing screening with maximum support in problem-solving and identifying screen related concerns.
- Responsible for meeting and/or exceeding quality and productivity goals as well as environmental laws and regulations.
- Responsible for performing press calls when needed and addressing issues that surface.
- Responsible for maintaining screen fabrication and department activities.
- Follow all procedures related to screen fabrication and department activities.
- Communicate with manufacturing on a daily basis with schedule issues.
- Reclaim screens and dispose of materials per procedures.
- Ability to determine the correct type of screen used whether it’s steel or polyester.
- Responsible for prioritizing screen needs based on scheduling in ERP system.
- Attention to detail in ensure the proper screens, meshes, tape, tension, etc. are used to avoid unnecessary errors.
- Quality and quantity are both measured on a daily basis and posted on our dashboard to compare shift progress and help identify any concerns or short comes.
- Have the ability to use other hand tools as needed.
- Consistently show up to work on time, ready to contribute to the team's success.
- Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret work instructions accurately, ensuring tasks are carried out effectively.
- Communicate any issues or concerns clearly and promptly to promote a collaborative and problem-solving work environment.
- Pay close attention to quality at every stage of the process, upholding our commitment to delivering top-notch products and services.
- Proficiency in entering the required information into our ERP system, contributing to efficient and accurate record-keeping.
- Possess knowledge of and adhere to good departmental and company safety, housekeeping, and personal protective equipment (PPE) practices to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. We value the foundational education and skills that it represents as a minimum qualification for this role.
