System Administrator

SAW.IT is an IT managed services provider looking for a System Administrator to manage and support client networks, servers, workstations, and technology environments, as a member of our best in class IT managed services team.

As a part of our System Administration team, the administrator will use leading-edge management and monitoring tools, as well as their skills and understanding of IT technology environments and best practices, to provide secure, resilient, and highly available managed client networks and services.

The administrator will work from our office in downtown, Lake Charles, LA. The administrator will occasionally work at client sites for project work and emergency escalations.

The administrator will coordinate and assist other engineers with escalations for their managed clients.

Responsibilities:

• Manage client networks, servers, and workstations
  
• Implement and maintain SAW.IT company-standards and IT best practices
  
• Advise clients on technology issues
  
• Manage and complete escalated Tier 3 support tickets
• Perform on-site work in support of project implementations and emergency escalations

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree (AA/AS) or Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in computer-related field
• Microsoft Windows Certifications including MCSA Windows Server
  
• Microsoft Windows Exams related to Windows Server, Security, and Networking
• 3 years Microsoft 365 implementation and administration
• 3 years Microsoft Windows server implementation and administration to include Active Directory
• 3 years network firewall, wireless network, routing, and switch network design, implementation, and administration
• Qualified to work within the US
• Drivers license
• Light to medium lifting capabilities

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Microsoft Azure
• CompTIA Network
• CompTIA Security
  
• UNIX troubleshooting
  
• Prior experience working at a MSP

About the position:

• Work hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm Central (Except major holidays)
• Work from our office in downtown Lake Charles, LA
