We are looking for a Full time Positive Behavior Support Specialist to work with our Adult Residential programs in the King and Pierce County areas. You'll be working with adults with developmental disabilities, helping them learn skills to improve their quality of life.
What You'll Be Doing:
You will be working with our staff to create Positive Behavior Support plans for adults with developmental disabilities, helping our clients better communicate with the world around them.
The Positive Behavior Support Specialist is responsible for effectively creating PBS plans and training staff in the client’s program to effective and constant use of those plans. The PBS Specialist will work with the PBS Lead to organize and coordinate the tracking of regional PBS plans and Program specific PBS-plan training needs. The PBS Specialist must be able to research current best practice in Positive Behavior Support and maintain compliance with DDA policy and RCS WAC standards.
What You Need:

A Bachelor’s degree in social services
-or- - 5 years experience with adults with disabilities
- Legal, safe driver with vehicle
- Currently have or within 30 days of being hired CPR/First Aid license
- Able to clear the criminal background check
