Minimum Qualifications:
High school or equivalent and either graduate of an AVMA accredited veterinary technician program or Military Occupational School (MOS: 68T –Animal Care Specialist) or RVT, CVT or LVT certified or eligible for certification (must be obtained within 1 year of hire) or validated completion of the Military Occupational School (MOS: 68T - Animal Care Specialist) or High school or equivalent and four (4) years of related experience with an emphasis on veterinary technician skills.

Job Summary:
To provide technical expertise in all aspects of veterinary anesthesia, aseptic surgery support, pre-operative and post-operative care, veterinary clinical and laboratory services, technical and husbandry support services using appropriate equipment and established procedures in all facilities up to an Animal Biological Safety Level 3 (ABSL-3) environment. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOJ clearance.
