Dispatcher/Logistics Coordinator

Service One Transportation, in business for 26 years, is seeking a full-time Dispatcher/Logistics Coordinator to support our growing business. This position will be days, Monday through Friday. We're seeking a hardworking, service-oriented Dispatcher/Logistics Coordinator to join our team and help us take Service One to the next level of growth and service.

Today, Service One has grown into a true full service Logistics and Transportation company with a large portfolio of services. Our services include; 53ft Dry Van, Dry Bulk with rail car transport, Blanket wrap transport, and Warehousing to name a few.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Assigning loads to drivers based on customer requirements and driver availability.
• Scheduling deliveries and pickups via multiple communication methods.
• Locating backhauls via load boards and other devices.
• Maintain accurate computer dispatch and scheduling records to ensure smooth and accurate communication flow.
• Ensure driver has all paperwork and load info necessary to complete their load satisfying both customer expectations and HOS regulations.
• Maintain and foster a positive, respectful relationship when dealing with drivers, co-workers, potential customers, and also foster growth with existing relationships and build new ones.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
• Effective with TMS software, and Outlook.
• A strong desire to grow and learn as part of a high functioning team.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• 1-3 years trucking, transportation, logistics experience
• Experience using transportation management software McLeod Loadmaster or equivalent

TRANSPORTATION LOGISTICS EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with load boards and rate negotiations
• Familiarity with Hours-of-Service Regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
