Job Description
The Global Cloud Operations (GCO) Organization at ServiceNow is growing rapidly and we are looking for someone to join our GCO Engineering team with passion to solve complex UX challenges through best practice and design thinking. As a UX/UI Engineer you will collaborate with, Product owners, and research teams to form and drive the vision for what a world-class digital experience could and should be for a customer-facing product.
What you get to do in this role:
- User-Centered Design: Conduct user research, gather feedback, and analyze user behavior to inform design decisions. Advocate for a user-centered design approach throughout the product development lifecycle.
- UI/UX Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups to illustrate design concepts and user flows. Iterate designs based on user testing and feedback.
- Front-End Development: Collaborate with front-end developers to implement responsive and pixel-perfect user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
- UI Component Libraries: Maintain and expand our UI component libraries, ensuring consistency and efficiency in design and development.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with designers, product managers, and software engineers to ensure alignment on design goals and requirements.
- Usability Testing: Plan and conduct usability testing sessions, analyze results, and make recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience as an interaction designer, user experience designer, or similar role, with a history of operating at a senior level in data analytics and enterprise software domain
- An inspiring portfolio showing us how you researched and crafted great experiences
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as experience with front-end development frameworks.
- Expert in design and prototyping tools (Sketch, Figma, InVision, etc.)
- Ability to understand and distill complex problems into elegant, intuitive solutions
- Ability to promote and champion your design and strategy solutions based on reason, research, and data
- Experience working in an iterative and agile development environment
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively work with multi-functional and multi-disciplined teams
- Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision in a fluid, fast-paced environment
GCS-23
For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $152,000 - $266,000, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
