Job Overview:
As the Controller of SERVPRO of Boise, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our business. You will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with exceptional analytical skills, a strong understanding of financial principles, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, and financial reports for management and franchise headquarters.
- Perform financial analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations to enhance financial performance.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets, ensuring adherence to financial goals.
- Oversee cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and work closely with external auditors.
- Provide financial insights and guidance to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar role, preferably in a service-oriented or franchised business.
- Proficient in accounting software and financial reporting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with team members and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of insurance and restoration industry practices is a plus.
