Job Title: Solution Architect

Overview:

• Core Focus: Sustainable technical architecture.
• Responsibilities: Design end-to-end solutions for products or services, work with cross-functional teams, and balance technical and business skills.
• Role: Lead the technical vision, make decisions impacting business outcomes, and guide the development or infrastructure teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Solution Delivery: Develop appropriate solutions across application or infrastructure platforms.
• Enterprise Vision: Assist Enterprise Architects in defining and enforcing the enterprise vision.
• Standards Compliance: Define and enforce application development standards across the enterprise.
• Adherence to Standards: Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards.
• Technology Trends: Stay updated on development technologies and capabilities.
• Expertise: Provide expertise in application development, database design, and platform efforts.
• Risk Mitigation: Work with Enterprise Architects to mitigate risks and meet business objectives.
• Communication: Convey risks and solutions to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Innovation: Research and advocate new technologies, architectures, and products.
• Application Architecture: Evaluate and develop application-level architectures.
• Platform Architecture: Develop reliable, high-performance, and cost-effective platform architectures.
• Development Effort: Organize and guide the development team through the systems development life cycle.
• Vision Execution: Ensure the vision is executed into practical solutions.
• System Integration: Oversee programming, integration, and testing of software systems.
• Technology Selection: Choose appropriate technologies and balance architectural concerns.
• Solution Sustainability: Address future scalability, maintenance, and third-party risks.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• Experience: 10 years in IT with broad exposure to various platforms and technologies.
• Expertise: In-depth knowledge of solution/application development across multiple platforms.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving, team collaboration, executive communication, and business process understanding.
• Attributes: Detail-oriented, strategic thinker, influential, and capable of explaining complex problems in layman’s terms.

• Education: Graduate Degree.
